'09 is here, & I'm back in the saddle! Here's to a fine '09......... Well....much like the last 3-4 weeks...we're unseasonably warm again....

2008 WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS....

Wow -- tropical like! -- billowing cumulus clouds, dew points in the 60s & afternoon temps. near 80 degrees. We tied....

Our Christmas will be a very warm one with....

Some parts of the U.S. reeling from wintry weather....

Our brief cold spell has arrived & will mean an inland freeze tonight with lows at or below 32 for 6+ hours west of I-95. So after 8 straight above avg. days, we're in for a couple of chilly days. But it won't last long....

If it takes cold temperatures to get you in the Christmas spirit, then you'll have your wish by Monday. Until then near record warmth will continue Saturday & most of Sunday. But a strong cold front....

Major travel problems Fri.-Sat. from New England to the Midwest to the Pacific Northwest as a couple of major winter storms move....

Near record high temperatures through the weekend! Wed.'s high of 80 missed the record by a single degree set back in 1961. We'll be close the next few days.....

Fog & mild temps. will be the story the rest of this week....less fog but still mild over the weekend. Fog will be dense at times....
